You are invited to celebrate the magic of Christmas with Gold Coast’s FREE Events including Carols by Candlelight, Twilight markets and Carnivals.

Carols Under the Stars – Robina
When: Sunday 7 December from 4pm – 8pm
Where: CBUS Super Stadium, Centreline Place, Robina
Carols Under the Stars is a free event where the community can come together and share in the true spirit of Christmas. The Kids Family Fun Fair will open at 4pm and includes kid’s activities, animal nursery, jumping castles, face painters, exhibitors and stage shows. Carols Under the Stars kicks off at 6pm and will feature Cory Hargreaves, Soulcutz, Petrina Zaphir, The Voice Weavers, Savannah, Warde Elliott and main headline artist, Mahalia Barnes. There will also be a fireworks display and a visit by Santa. Free shuttle buses will be available from Burleigh Heads State School, Stockland Shopping Centre, Treetops and a park and ride shuttle from Robina Town Centre car park.
Mayor’s Christmas Carols
When: Saturday 13 December from 4.30pm – 8.30pm
Where: Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport
Get into the festive spirit and sing your heart out at the third annual Mayor’s Christmas Carols. Along with Luke Kennedy (runner up on ‘The Voice 2013’), there will be local artists including David De Vito, The Lions Den, Candice Skjonnemand, The Full Stops and Bob La Castra, just to name a few. Event kicks off at 4.30pm with pre-show entertainment featuring roving Christmas characters and free Christmas art and craft workshops. The main show starts at 5pm with a spectacular fireworks display to finish off the evening, plus the arrival of Santa. LED candles and Christmas items will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to a local charity. Food and beverage also available for purchase.
Sanctuary Cove Christmas Carnival
When: 13 – 21 December; 11am – 2pm daily
Where: The Marine Village, Sanctuary Cove
As everyone’s favourite December day draws closer, there is nowhere more magical to be than The Marine Village, Sanctuary Cove. A whole program of free family festivities will be running every day from 13 to 21 December. Visit website for more details.
Carols on the Beach
When:Sunday 21 December from 6.30pm – 8pm
Where: Surfers Paradise Beach, Surfers Paradise
Bring a blanket and enjoy an evening of song with the whole family at the Surfers Paradise Carols on the Beach presented by G:link. Get set for a night of Aussie entertainment as host, Jay Laga’aia leads an all-Australian line up starring Rachel Beck, Candice Skjonnemand, Maske Figaro, and the Paradise Kids Choir. It’s set to be a great show and if you’re lucky, you might even get a peek of Santa himself! Make sure you stick around for a magical end to the night as Surfers Paradise lights up with fireworks, spreading the Christmas cheer to all.
